Name your company, brand or shop with AI

Pick what you are naming, describe the business in one sentence and set the style – six options with reasons appear on the right, and the chat gets a request for twenty. Names and slogans are text, so they are free on the Starter plan.

Prompt sent to the chat: «Come up with 20 names for a company (LLC). What we do: wholesale packaging for food manufacturers. Style: short and catchy, one or two syllables, easy to say over the phone and spell without mistakes. For each name, one sentence on why it fits. Do not check availability, but flag the options that are easy to confuse with well-known brands. For the three best options, suggest a slogan of up to 6 words.»

What the options look likeCompany · short and catchy
  1. 01
TarroTwo syllables, reads the same on contracts and on a box, with none of the “Supply Group” blandnessSlogan: Tarro – packaging that keeps its word
  2. 02
PaktaEchoes both “pack” and “pact” – a deal that is kept
  3. 03
CubraFrom “cube”: volume, warehouse, pallets; sounds solid
  4. 04

SartaNeutral and not tied to one product – handy if you widen the range
  6. 06
VoltpakEnergetic, with a clear “pak” at the end; one word, so the domain matches

The preview is built from ready-made samples for a typical description. In the chat, the AI comes up with names for your business and explains each one.

How to choose

Twenty options shrink to two or three. Here is how to filter

The AI gives you a lot, and that is fine: the first list shows directions rather than hitting the bull’s-eye. Run each option through five questions, then ask in the chat: “keep the three best and give me five more like each”.

Once the name is chosen, the same chat can make a logo, write a sales proposal and product descriptions on behalf of the new company.

  1. 01

    Say it over the phone

If you have to spell it letter by letter or explain “with a K or a C”, customers will get it wrong in search and in payments.

  2. 02

Does it work in a sentence

“I ordered from Ladle”, “I work at Tarro”. A name that sits awkwardly in a sentence lives worse in speech.

  3. 03

Not tied to one product or street

“Dumplings on Garden Street” gets in the way of a second location on Main Street and of adding soups to the menu.

  4. 04

    Survives the neighbors

Type the name into search and maps: if the top results belong to another company in your field, you inherit its reviews and the confusion.

  5. 05

    Looks good small

An app icon, a messenger caption, a stamp. A long descriptive name turns into an abbreviation there – make sure you are happy with it.

Registering a company

A name for a company or sole proprietor: short and honest

The AI comes up with a name but cannot tell whether it is taken. Before filing, search for similar names in your country’s company register, and if you plan a brand, in the trademark database.

What to keep in mindWhat it looks like
A company has a legal name
What it looks like: The registered name carries the legal ending – “Tarro LLC” or “Tarro Ltd” – and that is what goes on contracts. The brand on the sign can be shorter.
Restricted words
What it looks like: In many countries words like “bank”, “royal”, “national” or the names of government bodies need permission. The AI will leave them out if you ask.
Similar names
What it looks like: A company with the same name in the same field that registered earlier can demand you change yours. So – check the register before you file.
Sole proprietor
What it looks like: You trade under your own name by default. The name you invent goes on the sign, website and receipts – a trade name (DBA), which may need a separate registration.

What to put in the request

Your field, region and who you serve: “wholesale packaging, Midwest, clients are food manufacturers”. Add what you do not want: “no Group, Solutions or Global, no numbers”. If you need both short and descriptive options, ask for two lists of ten.

For a firm you will say on the phone a hundred times a day, the “short and catchy” style works best: two syllables, one spelling.

Shop, café, salon

Naming a shop, café or beauty salon

Here the name lives on the sign and in map reviews, so it has to stick after one walk past. Tap a card: the generator above switches to that type.

Shop

Give the goods and the format: “home goods by the subway”, “kids’ clothing online”. Warm everyday words suit a neighborhood store; an online shop needs names that are easy to type into the address bar.

Café and coffee shop

Describe the food, breakfasts, atmosphere. The AI suggests names that sound right in “let’s go to …” – the main test for a place. Ask separately for options with and without wordplay.

Beauty salon and studio

A salon name often doubles as the social media handle, so check how it looks as one word. For a one-stylist studio, the AI can play on the name: ask for “options with the name Marina and without”.

Slogan

A slogan for the name – one line, no “quality and reliability”

A good slogan answers “what’s in it for me”. So the request needs the customer’s benefit, not your virtues: “delivered in two hours”, “renovation with the deadline in the contract”. Choose the kind of slogan – on the right there is an example and the request that goes to the chat.

The slogan will come in handy in ad copy and posts – ask the AI to write three ads with it right away.

Example
  • Tarro – the boxes arrive before the batch does
Request to the chat

«Come up with 10 slogans for Tarro (wholesale packaging for food manufacturers). Each one about the customer’s benefit: lead times, stock on hand, replacing defects. Up to 7 words, without “quality”, “reliability”, “best”.»

Domain and website

A name for the website and the domain

The website name does not have to match the legal name. But pick the domain together with the name while there are many options: most of the nice short words in .com are taken.

NameHow to spell it in a domainWhat to check
Crumb
How to spell it in a domain: crumbcafe – crumb.com is long gone
What to check: A short word needs a tail: city, field or “get”
Voltpak
How to spell it in a domain: voltpak, no hyphen
What to check: A hyphen is awkward to dictate and people forget it
Kwik Fix
How to spell it in a domain: kwikfix – people will also type quickfix
What to check: A creative spelling splits traffic; buy both or skip it
Blush
How to spell it in a domain: blush-studio, blushsalon
What to check: A short English word is almost surely taken – add a tail

Ask for the domain together with the name

In the chat: “for each name, suggest three domain options in .com: plain, with a field tail and with a city”. The AI cannot see whether an address is free – check with a registrar, it takes a minute. But it shows at once which names are hard to spell, and you drop them before you fall in love.

Mistakes

Six naming mistakes you only notice a year later

A generic word

“BuildService”, “ProMaster”, “EuroStyle”. There are thousands, and in search you end up on page ten among namesakes.

A one-time joke

A pun amuses on the first meeting and annoys on the hundredth. Wordplay works for a café and badly for a clinic or a law firm.

Looks like a famous one

One letter away from a big brand is not clever, it is a trademark claim waiting to happen. Ask the AI to flag such options.

A city in the name

“Austin Windows” sells well in Austin and gets in the way of expanding to the next state. Keep the city for the domain and the sign.

Two spellings

One word or two, a hyphen or not, “K” or “C”. If you hesitate yourself, customers will split in half – and half will not find you.

Did not ask customers

Show three final options to five people from your audience and ask them to recall the names a day later. The one they remember is yours.

FAQ

How do I come up with a company name when nothing comes to mind?

Start with a description, not a name: what you do, for whom, how you differ. Put that in the field above and ask for twenty options in two styles. Pick the three you want to say out loud and ask for five similar ones to each.

Will the AI check whether the name is available?

No. It cannot see registers and does not know who registered yesterday. Check yourself: similar companies in your country’s company register, trademarks in the trademark database, the domain with a registrar. The AI only points out which options resemble well-known brands.

What company name will definitely get registered?

One without restricted words such as “bank”, “national” or the names of government bodies, and not identical to a company in the same field already on the register. Rules vary by country, so check your registrar’s guidance. Ask the AI: “no restricted words for a company name”.

Can I get a name and a slogan together?

Yes, the “+ slogan” switch in the generator adds it to the request: for the three best names the AI suggests a slogan of up to six words. A slogan for a name you already have is requested in the “Slogan” block.

Is the name generator free?

Yes. Names, slogans and domain ideas are text requests and are part of the Starter plan with 30 units of energy. Only images are paid: a logo for the name comes with plans from Lite at ₽690.

Do the website name and the company name have to match?

Not necessarily. The company can be Tarro LLC and the website tarro-pack.com, or it can carry a product brand. But if customers find you by the sign, it is easier when the name, the domain and the social handle are spelled the same.

Can the AI come up with a coined or foreign-sounding name?

Yes, pick the “Evocative” style. The AI explains the meaning of every word and how it might be read – useful because some coined names mean something unexpected in another language.
